Dr. Jennifer Gilbert-Jenkins, Assistant Professor of Agricultural Science at SUNY MOrrisvill, will speak about processes and practices for hemp production in New York State.  Hemp is grown for its seeds, fiber, and medicinal plant extracts.

"Bluebirds and More"

John Rogers, co-founder of the NYS Bluebird Society, will share his love for the natural world with a focus on bluebirds.  In addition to many beautiful photographs, his presentation includes the life history of the Eastern Bluebird, other birds that nest in bluebird boxes, and nest box management.

"The Beautiful Orchid" and Village Cleanup
11:30am, American Legion, 28 Chenango St, Cazenovia
Sue Finger, President of the Central New York Orchid Society, will discuss all the major topics of growing orchids.  She will have display plants as examples of the genera  she is discussing and will provide information on trusted growers.
After the meeting, weather permitting, members will clean up the Village plantings.  Please bring tools, gloves, brooms, garbage bags, etc. and dress for work.  Also, please be ready to sign-up for Holiday Sale work.

Ken Boyce has been a beekeeper for 20 years.  He keeps bees at several locations in Madison and Onondaga counties.  He is a graduate of the Cornell University Amster Beekeeper course and is the President of the Mid York Beekeepers Association.
