"Hostas" of Hosta Obsession: My Favorite Hostas

Dr. Steven C. Chamberlain, retired SU professor and Scientific Editor of the Hosta Journal for the American Hosta Society, is a prolific gardener specializing in growing, hybridizing and registering new cultivars of Hostas.  He will share his Hostas lore and images of his favorites.

Luana Impellizzeri, President of the Manlius Herb Society, will speak on how to plan an herb garden and when and how to harvest, preserve and use herbs medicinally and in cooking.

Sycamore Hill Gardens
10am to 1:30pm, Sycamore Hill Gardens, 2130 Old Seneca Turnpike, Marcellus.
Sycamore Hill Gardens is the private 40-acre home of Karen and George Hanford who transformed pastures and cornfields into a magnificent showcase for nature's beauty - formal and informal gardens; statuary; koi ponds; stonework, a hedge maze and a bird sanctuary.  We eill tour the gardens with a guide on foot or in a golf cart and enjoy a box lunch on the patio.  We need 20+ people so please invite family and friends.  The $30 cost includes admission to the garden and lunch.  Please see pictures on sycamorehillgardens.com.

The "Magic of Medical Marijuana" and Village Cleanup

Scott Treatment MD, a NYS licensed medical marijuana prescriber, will discuss how the action of the plant can help to ease the pain and symptoms of chronic illnesses.
After the meeting, members will clean up the village plantings.  window boxes, planters, and hanging baskets must all be emptied.  Please bring tools, gloves, brooms, garbage bags, etc, and dress for work.  Please be ready to sign up for Holiday Sale work
